Amb. John Pofi Berates at Deputy Speaker House of Reps, Ahmed Idris Wase Over Comments on Nigerians in Diaspora
The National Coordinator of Prayer Force Network, Amb. John Pofi, JP has described the Deputy Speaker Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Idris Ahmed as “an embarrassment to the people of Plateau State” over his comments and rejection of the petition by Nigerians in the Diaspora through a Federal Lawmaker, Rep. Mark Terseer Gbillah representing Gwer-East/Gwer-West Federal Constituency Benue State on the issue of land grabbing and the condition of persons who were displaced from their ancestral lands.
“What the dishonourable member of the house of representatives and deputy speaker of the house Ahmed Idris Wase did few days ago, if left unchecked, unanswered and unchallenged, will set a dangerous precedence that is why I want to put it to him that he goofed, he is unenlightened, unexposed and he is the face of shame especially coming from our dear Plateau State” he said.
His statement reads;
YOU ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE PEOPLE OF PLATEAU STATE- AMB JOHN POFI TACKLES AHMED IDRIS AKA MAJE
It is never in my character to join issues with people all the time but there are certain things that when left uncorrected, they become the norm.
And I have discovered that it is because we have been quite over a lot of anomalies over the years that is why we have found ourselves in this sorry state as a nation.
What the dishonourable member of the house of representatives and deputy speaker of the house Ahmed Idris Wase did few days ago, if left unchecked, unanswered and unchallenged, will set a dangerous precedence that is why I want to put it to him that he goofed, he is unenlightened, unexposed and he is the face of shame especially coming from our dear Plateau State.
Over the years, and even now, we have seen how sane persons in diaspora have changed serious government policies in their home states.
If dishonourable Ahmed Idris Wase had known, he wouldn’t have presided over the plenary that day because what he succeeded in achieving on that ill fated day was to display executive rascality, ignorance, archaic thinking and insufficient knowledge of what is obtainable in the 21st century.
He has demonstrated that the world has moved and left only him in the crude age of the 17th century.
For him to ask how can somebody in America do this and that is clear prove that his constituents have wasted their votes, wasted their time and now have a vacuum waiting for a serious minded person to occupy.
The deputy speaker by this act is more sympathetic to the “Fulanisation” agenda and the reasons are obvious.
This is the height of irresponsibility which calls for the immediate recall of Ahmed Idris Maje Wase because he is not sympathetic to the plight of the displaced persons nor those who have lost their loved ones lost their abodes and means of livelihood in one form of crisis or the other.
I expected him to listen to the content of the petition, which centres on humanitarian crisis, more so that it is coming from Nigerians in the North Central who are in Diaspora, but instead of him to keep quiet, he went ahead to display his primitive sentiment.
What Ahmed Idris Maje Wase did is a great disservice to Plateau State, to the North Central, Nigerians and humanity and he does not deserve to be in the green chamber.
He has embarrassed us, he has neglected the down trodden and is a disgrace to the people of Plateau State and to humanity and has no right to be in the green chamber any more.
So I submit.
