HON. CAROLINE DAFUR VISITS VICTIM OF PLATEAU DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, ASSURES JUSTICE
Following the widespread of the gory pictures of a domestic violence that resulted in a pregnant woman’s hand completely chopped off by her husband, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Caroline Dafur earlier today visited Mrs. Hauwa Ibrahim.
The Hon. Commissioner while expressing her displeasure over the barbaric incident during the visit disclosed that Her Ministry and the Plateau State Gender Commission has began thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident and will ensure justice is served.
According to Her, they have toured the 17LGAs, used the mass media,and partner with other stakeholders to sensitized the populace on the VAPP Laws, the Gender Court and how serious the present administration of His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang is, in combating all forms of Gender based violence and ensuring social protection to all.
Hon. Caroline promised to closely follow-up and ensure the case is NOT swept under the carpet but justice is fully served.
