SSANU PLASU chapter Protest; threatening to embark on strike.
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities ( SSANU), Plateau State University, Bokkos chapter stage a Peaceful Protest today at the vasity.
Reasons for the peaceful demonstration according to some members of the Union are over the none payment of salary, Failure in the implementation of 30 percent minimum wages and earn allowances of staffs.
SSANU also threatening to embark on an indefinate strike if the state government doesn’t take any urgent drastic action to meet their needs.
The Staff were in their large number carrying placard with assertion such as”Governor bank alert Wetin dey happened?”, Izam where is our Hazard allowance”, ” We have exercised enough patience” Lalong pay our salaries among others.
Recalled the Joint Union of Plateau State-Owned Tertiary Institutions have embarked on an indefinite strike if PLASU also declare strike, this will placed all tertiary institutions owned by the state on strike.
There is then an urgent need for the State government Officials to call these union for negotiation and meeting their demands to aviod any strike action.
