MIKANG CHAIRMAN FLAGGED OFF TWO DAYS FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH

The Executive Chairman of Mikang Local Government Council, Hon. Augustine Bako said the task before him is to deliver on the mandate of accessesible and affordable programs that are impactive of the devidents of democracy.

Hon. Austin stated this while speaking at the flagging off of one of his campaign promises tag, thank you Mikang, free medical out reach at the Council’s primary Health Care Centre, Garkawa one at the weekend.

He pointed out that health is one out of the many prominent projects that are set for execution to reduce the burden of disease and it’s attendant cost.

Stressing that it’s also aimed at improving the quality of life, providing epidemiological control for communicable diseases and to put a smile on the faces of the down troden who have not been able to meet up with standard medical treatments.

Austin lauded the team of Medical Consultants and other health professionals led by Doctor Agwom Nyam Azi for offering multidisciplinary health services and prayed that the sick will receive healing.

Earlier in his introductory message, the Team Leader, Doctor Agwom Azi said it’s a two days program with the other centre at the General Hospital Tunkus with forty medical doctors cut across different medicine and other health fields are envolved in the exercise.

He acknowledged that the program is the brain Child of the Council’s Chairman and expressed optimism that attention will be given to all those present.

Also speaking, the leader of the legislative arm of the council, Tabial Zuegoe commended the Chairman for being at the fore front to save the life of the people at the grass root.

He assured of his members support and cooperation so that the people will continue to celebrate the Chairman’s gesture.
Earlier in a well come remark, the Council’s Director of Local Health Authority, Mrs Felicia Solomon Davwet narrated that the Executive Chairman has within his short period of leadership paid much attention to the successes of other health programs.
She appealed to Traditional and other leaders to compliment through Mobalization of their subjects to benifit from the program which is the first of it’s kind in the council.

In a vote of thanks.a representative of Garkawa Community, Victor Dongven noted that the program is coming in less than a month after the flagging off of the Scholarship scheme for students of higher learning by the executive Chairman.

He assured that the entire Community is in support of his visions and challenged other elected persons to follow his footsteps.

The Council’s Chairman Augustine Bako was later joined by one of his colleagues, the Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council, Henry Gotip and other dignitaries for a visit to those at the General Hospital Tunkus, one of the centres for the free treatment.
