Plateau State to Host Maiden Interdenominational Unity Christmas Carols and Praise Festival

The Plateau State Government, in partnership with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Plateau State Chapter, has unveiled plans for the inaugural Plateau State Interdenominational Unity Christmas Carols and Praise Festival. The three-day event will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at the 10 Commandment Prayer Altar in Doi, DU, Jos South Local Government Area. Festivities will begin daily at 3:30 PM.

The festival is set to bring together Plateau indigenes and notable figures, including former governors, federal ministers, lawmakers, traditional rulers, captains of industry, and the general public. It aims to foster unity and celebrate the spirit of Christmas under the theme “One Voice, One Spirit in Christ.”

The event boasts a distinguished lineup of guests, with General Dr. Yakubu Gowon (GCFR), former Head of State, as the Father of the Occasion and Ambassador Professor Mary Lar as the Mother of the Occasion. Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR) will serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour.

Popular gospel music minister Solomon Lange is set to headline the musical performances, adding a spiritual and celebratory touch to the gathering.

The event will be hosted by Reverend Father Polycarp Lubu, Chairman of CAN Plateau State Chapter, with His Excellency Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State, as the Chief Host.

The festival promises to be a landmark occasion, uniting people of all denominations in worship and celebration. It underscores Plateau State’s commitment to fostering peace, unity, and spiritual growth among its people.

All are invited to this groundbreaking event as Plateau State ushers in the festive season with praise, fellowship, and a renewed spirit of togetherness.
