PLASU VC Inspects ongoing Projects in University ahead of commissioning
Prof. Yohana Daniel Izam was at the project site of the new Senate building to make sure the contractor pays attention to details ahead of the commissioning ceremony.
The Vice Chancellor along with the University Registrar Mr Yakubu Ayuba and Bursar Mr Kerekkum Longsen Lawrence is not leaving anything to chance as labourers put finishing touches to the edifice.
Yesterday, 14th February, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yohana Izam spent his Valentine’s day inspecting progress of work ahead of the commissioning of these projects so close to his heart.
Contract for the construction of the faculty of medical sciences block was awarded to Capital Technical Services Limited in 2018 with the completion period of 52 weeks. The edifice alongside the Senate Building are due for commissioning in the coming days.
Similarly, in June 2020, contract for the construction, supply and installation of furniture for the Senate Building under the 2019 Tetfund special high-impact project was awarded in Plateau State University Bokkos. Work commenced in January 2020 with the completion timeline of 54 weeks.
The Executive Secretary of the tertiary education Prof. Suleiman Elias Bogoro and his Excellency the Executive Governor of Plateau State who is the visitor to the university Rt. Hon Simon Bako Lalong are expected to be in attendance.
Few days from now, the state of the art edifice will be commissioned for use and preparations are already in top gear for a successful event.
