JUST IN – Gunmen kill four Plateau mining workers

Gunmen on Saturday evening killed four workers at a mining site in Dong village of Jos North local government council of Plateau State.
Our correspondent gathered from the community that the gunmen stormed the mining site and shot the workers dead.
It was gathered that no fewer than four men were shot dead while a woman who survived the gun attack is receiving treatment in the hospital.
A Youth leader who does not want his name in print confirmed the attack. According to him, the attack occured around 6 30 pm.
Plateau Police spokesman ASP Gabriel Ubah confirmed the attack to our correspondent in Jos.
Ubah, said: “We are aware of the attack and four people were killed.
“The Command has deployed armed police men to the area and calm has returned.”
