Insecurity: Student Killed in Plateau as Gunmen attack School Community (Photo)

Gunmen have reportedly killed at least one student in a School Community in Kuru, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, North-central Nigeria.

The attacks, which happened on Friday, were rumored to have been carried out around Government Science School Kuru leaving one student dead and two other students and a middle aged man sustaining gunshot wounds.

Further reports indicates that the gunmen suspected to be armed Fulani herdsmen attacked kuru community at the late hours of Friday Night with sporadic gunshots heard ringing through out the area.

Mathewtegha reports that the attackers were alleged to have been resisted by some community local forces who engaged them in a duel while giving them a hot chase to forestall further casualties.

Other reports claim that the victims where on their way back to the school premises when Gunmen open fire on them.

According to mathewtegha The body of the deceased student is said to have been deposited at Plateau specialist hospital while that of the injured has been taken to Jos University Teaching Hospital for treatment as of the time of filling this report.
