COCIN Women Fellowship at 80: Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo Frowns at Insecurity
Church of Christ in Nations COCIN, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo has registered his displeasure over the nonchalant attitude of Christians towards the security challenges bedeviling the nation.
Rev. Dr. Mohzo was speaking at the Bi-ennial Convention and 80 years Anniversary of the COCIN Women Fellowship, CWF which was held at Gindiri, Mangu LGA of Plateau State.
Lightbearernews reports that He said the killers on rampage are having a field day because Christians are living foolishly not minding the dangerous times we are living in.
“This is no time for the men to get drunk and sleep through the night or a time for us to be deceived that there is peace but it is a time for us to keep watch and protect our families and our land which is our only heritage because our enemy is not asleep but always scheming on where next to attack”, Rev. Dr. Mohzo said.
He called on all Christians to ensure that they are duly registered and have an authentic voter’s card which will enable them participation in the forth coming general elections and reprimanded members against divisions in the various political parties. He stressed that we are all one and we should put the interest of our states and country first instead of our personal individual interests which are usually selfish.
According to Lightbearernews COCIN President disclosed that there is a plan by all denominations on the Plateau to organize a special program aimed at praying for all Christians in the North and Nigeria as a whole so that the forth coming elections will bring forth a leader who will move the country forward and lead in the fear of God.
While appreciating the CWF for their support over the years, he congratulated them for celebrating their 80th Anniversary and called on all groups in the Church to focus attention on planting more churches in the Southern part of Nigeria where the presence of COCIN is yet to be fully felt.
Rev. Dr. Mohzo also urged the women to work in unity of purpose and avoid concentrating on the fault of others but control problems in love and not gossip which usually tears us apart.
In her remarks, the CWF Coordinator, Mrs. Godiya Kitgakka appreciated God for seeing the Fellowship through the 80 years and the church leadership for their support at various levels. She reminded the women on the need to live, fellowship, walk, serve and worship God in unity so that they will experience the full blessings of God Lightbearernews reports.
She also appreciated the past leaders of the CWF for their years of service and building the fellowship to where it is today and prayed that God will advance His Kingdom work through the activities of the CWF.
