Bokkos LGA Chairman And Council Members Attend COCIN Ordination Ceremony, Pay Condolence Visit To The Family Of late Hon. Mallo Kwasen Jackdel.
The Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Council, Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau, alongside his Deputy, Hon. M.J. Walangko, attended the ordination ceremony of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) Provincial Church Councils of Panyam, Daffo, and Gindiri. The ordination was performed by Rev. Dr. Amos Musa Mohzo, President of COCIN, and marked a significant spiritual milestone for the newly ordained pastors.
In attendance were notable dignitaries, including Hon. Jubril Watley Sule Dakup, Director of Protocol to the Governor of Plateau State; Hon. Monday M. Kassah, former TIC Chairman of Bokkos LGA; Hon. Ishaku Maren Yobo, Bokkos Liaison Officer; Hon. Mrs. Gambo Malua, Secretary of the Council; Rtd. Hon. Kibangs S. Macham, Leader of the Council; and Hon. Dauda Nehemiah Matawal Watley, Deputy Leader. Also present were Pastor Patrick Damti James, Hon. Calinus Adakson, Chief Whip; Hon. Luka Yavuruk, Chief of Staff; Hon. Monday Dahorop, and other members of the Bokkos Local Government Council.
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Amalau, congratulated the newly ordained pastors, noting the importance of their calling and commitment to serving both God and humanity. “This ordination marks a new beginning and a milestone in each pastor’s journey of service, guided by God’s call,” he stated. Hon. Amalau further expressed his hopes for their ministry to bring spiritual growth, unity, and enlightenment to the community, contributing to the betterment of Bokkos and Plateau State.
Hon. Jubril Watley also took a moment to thank the clergy for their unwavering dedication to advancing the message of God’s love and peace.
Following the ordination, Hon. Amalau led the council team in a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Mallo Kwasen Jackdel, a respected community member in Bokkos LGA. Expressing profound sorrow, the Executive Chairman conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the council, offering prayers and support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Hon. Monday M. Kassah, former TIC Chairman, shared cherished memories of the late Kwasen Jackdel and offered prayers for God’s comfort and strength for the family. Additionally, Hon. Jubril Watley expressed his condolences, offering words of comfort and praying for peace over the family.
The council team concluded the visit with prayers, asking God to grant the family grace, resilience, and strength.
