ASUU PLASU total Strike remains a rumour
The Academic Staff Union of University(ASUU), Plateau State University, Bokkos hapter has commence a one week sit- In strike today.
This according to them is due to the governments failure to meet up their demands after signing an agreement with members of the union.
The chairman of the union Dr. Betse Pamson in a phone call with our reporter asserted that the union members are not on a total strike but a sit- in strike.
” we are not on strike, all lecturers will be in school performing thier normal office work and attending to students but won’t be allowed to enter classes for lectures”. Said the chairman.
Dr. Pamson also call on Students to remain in school as lecturers wil be around to attend to them and avoid traveling and spreading fake news about the action.
This is coming barely six weeks after the Union signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government and suspended it’s strike.
