2023: Plateau govt asks appointees eyeing elective office to resign
Plateau state Government on Saturday directed Public officer holders nursing political ambition ahead of the 2023 elections to resign on or before February 28th 2022 in order not to be distracted.
This was contained in a statement signed by Prof Danladi Atu, the Secretary to the Government of the state and made available to newsmen in Jos.
The statement reads that “As the countdown to 2023 general elections draws nearer, it has become necessary for government to provide a level playing ground for all political actors, especially those in government to exercise their fundamental human rights.”
“The essence is to reduce to the barest minimum political distractions in governance and enable such concerned public officers to focus on their aspirations, the statement further added.”
